Hazardous Materials
There are certain materials or items we can not take. Mostly these consist of biological, chemical, and nuclear materials. It probably makes sense that we don’t take biological or nuclear material, but most people wonder what chemical material covers. Well, in most cases we can take things like a little oil or old fuel, but most chemicals and paints are a no go for us unless they are dry or empty. Other hazardous materials include fluorescent bulbs because they contain mercury gas and asbestos.
Hazards we do take
However, we do take things like old car, truck, mower, or boat batteries. We can take tires, although a special fee may apply to each tire or truckload for disposal charges and taxes. There are cases where we can take old fuel or oil to be properly recycled, but we can not carry large amounts in the truck. Electronics are actually full of heavy metals and hazardous, but we take them for proper recycling. We also take and recycle air conditioners and refrigerators/freezers containing coolant.
This page was only to serve as a basic understanding of what we can and can not take. So, unless it is a bucket full of liquid mercury the best way to know is to ask. We will probably surprise you as to what we can recycle. Thank for reading. Contact us now for your free estimate. 🙂
